Samsung had a conceivably humiliating situation when news emerged that they included the word “Porn” on their new launched device, the Galaxy Tab. The word “Porn” was in reference to the Home button and it created a buzz since then flooding in comments and reactions from people are anticipating and watching for its release.

English translation is fun especially when the words involved are tech terms, software and manuals of different electronic equipments. As a native English speaker, I find it amusing to come across weird translations from gadget or electronic makers over their products or certain applications when they are marketed in countries were English is not the primary language. These words become a laughing matter though sometimes there are also others who get offended by it. Electronic companies shouldn’t rely on Google Translate for this job, well not all of it though.
