Note* – We know that this isn’t galaxy tab news, but if you love the galaxy tab, you’ll love this.
Samsung Electronics, the most successful follower to Apple in the personal device sector, unveiled the “Galaxy Player” on Monday, a multimedia device very similar to the iPod Touch, and will showcase it to the public at CES 2011.
With support for mobile TV, T-DBM, the Galaxy Player is virtually the same as an iPod Touch – playing mp3 music and video, having internet-based voice and video calling using Wi-Fi, and able to download applications from an app store. The multimedia player is one in a line-up of Samsung’s Galaxy series – Galaxy S is a smartphone and the Galaxy Tab is a tablet PC. Similar to the other Galaxy devices, the Galaxy Player adopts Android 2.2.
The Galaxy Player features a 4-inch super clear LCD (WVGA), 3.2-megapixel camera, GPS, stereo speakers and Bluetooth 3.0.
