Samsung Galaxy Tab’s WiFi only arrival delayed a little longer than expected
Latest news from Tinsel Tab is that Samsung’s first Android based tablet PC will not be arriving anytime this holiday. News has circulated of its forthcoming from sites all over the Internet, but none was able to pinpoint its exact release date not even its price. It was rumored that the WiFi model of the tablet PC will arrive in stores in time for the Christmas seasons, however, recent unconfirmed reports states it will not hit stores until after the holidays. For those eyeing for the Samsung Galaxy Tab, they can get the 3G version for now.
Ready for some more news? Verizon is including data plans on all their Samsung Galaxy Tab purchases locked or unlocked ones. Verizon’s price, which is at $599.99 without a contract should include a data plan upon purchase, a package where a consumer has the option to stop at first instance or carry on a monthly payment. From Best Buy flyers, it was indicated that the device will require activation at the time of purchase, which means the data plan will also be activated whether they like it or not. Many hoped this will not be overlooked by Verizon as this will soon create an unfavourable impression from consumers.
A $600 tablet PC is not a terrible idea for the holiday but seems not to enticing if we look at the price. If there is a tablet PC available out there that is less than iPad’s price; it would be a delightful surprise!
