Remote Access for Android Tablets acquires new capabilities by LogMeIn
This application has new capabilities such as Wake-On-LAN, remote sound, multi-monitor support, and more. The great thing about the LogMeIn Ignition app is that a single instance of it can already be used across any of the user’s supported Android devices like multiple smartphones and tablets. You can purchase and download it through Android Market or the Verizon V CAST all store1.
With LogMeIn Ignition, it lets you gain control of your PC or Mac using your mobile device or tablet, allowing easy access to files, data and applications wherever you may be as long as you have a decent internet connection. A fact about the Android version of Ignition is that it was released in July 2010 and since then it has been one of the top paid productivity apps in the Android Market. Likewise, this same app, optimized for iPad, is one of the highest grossing apps in the Apple App Store, this version was released in April 2010. If you would like to see a video demonstration of the app running on an Android tablet, you can check out LogMeIn’s YouTube channel or at LogMeIn’s product blog.

54.8 million units of tablet shipments and will surpass 208 million units by 2014, this is what the research firm Gartner is guessing to happen. December reports indicated that the new Samsung Galaxy Tab has passed the one million unit sold line according to Samsung, this was about less than two months after the device first went on sale.
Andrew Burton, LogMeIn’s vice president, Access & Management said “The growing popularity of tablets has introduced new demand for utilizing the capabilities of a user’s PC or Mac, while also benefiting from the mobility and flexibility benefits derived from tablets. LogMeIn Ignition for Android offers a best of both worlds approach, blending mobility with performance”. And adds: “Our goal is simple: Give our users the freedom to access their entire digital world from virtually anywhere”.
Aside from the tablet support update, there are other new features in the latest LogMeIn Ignition like:
1. Wake-on-LAN – Wake up sleeping computers to maintain productivity while reducing power consumption.
2. Remote sound – Listen to remote PCs running LogMeIn Pro2.
3. Multi-monitor switching – Switch between multiple monitors using a three-finger swipe.
The price of LogMeIn Ignition is $29.99, however if you are an existing Ignition for Android owner, this is available as a free update.

Logmein is definitely a pioneer of this industry. My question is whether Apple’s bridging the gap between desktops and mobile devices will kill the remote access industry. I doubt it, but there have been rumors.
Useful blog website, keep me personally through searching it, I am seriously interested to find out another recommendation of it.
